Much can be learned from this year’s Big XII bowl season. Kansas and Missouri both made very strong statements that they should have been considered for one of the top two bowls this year. Missouri made it clear they should have been in a BCS game at the very least. We are also learning that Bob Stoops is not the unstoppable giant Big XII teams have made him out to be. At just one bowl win in the last five years, the Sooners have got to be feeling the disappointment.

Much has been said about the resurgence of the Big 12 North this year with Kansas and Missouri ranking so well at the end of the regular season. While improved, I still don’t think that they have the necessary strength to beat some of the more dominant teams in the country this year. Out of the 8 teams in bowl games, we should see 4 Big 12 wins, all coming from the Southern Conference.
