Who Has Got What It Takes
The most obvious thing on everybody’s mind during the Husker Spring Game this last Saturday is that Ganz and Lucky are ready for the fall. They are bright spots on an offense that looks to blow some people away this year. Don’t be surprised to see the Huskers as one of the top offensive units by the end of this upcoming season. Will our defense slow opponents down enough to make a difference? I don’t think we received an answer on Saturday, but there were some improvements and positive items to note.
Spring Game Delivers Action
I had been looking forward to the Spring Game ever since Coach Pelini’s hiring. When I watched this glorified practice, I tried to see from the coaches eyes. This is a scrimmage, a learning tool, a way to tell who needs work, and who may be ready for fall ball. You’re now getting a glimpse of the mental notes I had in my head from beginning to end. There were some pleasant surprises, but most observations of the game were expected.
Spring Game Quick Update
Just wanted to wish everyone safe travels if you’ve got a long way to go to the Spring Game. If you’re not going to the game, sorry, it’s not on TV. I’ll be posting my analysis as soon as I can get back in front of a keyboard. Hope to see some of you bloggers there. I’m looking forward to a good solid effort from a bunch of people whose names I don’t recognize. While it will be nice to see guys like Ganz and company do well, I want to see something that makes me not worried about our defense in the fall. Remember, coaches are raving about a linebacker that’s been playing the position for about a month…
